Define the types of events you will allow your attendees to create at your convention and in the various rooms at your convention.
- Click Event Types.
- Click Create at the top right corner of the page.
- Specify the following parameters:
a. Name: Enter the name of the type of event.
b. Default: Select No if you want this event type to be one of many event type options that you will make available for event submissions at your convention. Select Yes if you want this event to autopopulate as the DEFAULT event type for every event created by attendees. Attendees can then optionally change it, but the default event type will automatically populate unless it's changed.
c. Usage: Select Private if you will only allow admins, moderators or other permitted users to submit events of this type. Select Public if you will allow all attendees to submit events of this type.
b. Games: Select NO if this type of event is not a game (e.g. panel discussion, paint & take, etc.). Select YES, if this type of event is or can be a game (e.g. board game, card game, RPG, etc.). This affects what information users will need to enter on the attendee side of the software when submitting events.
- Click Save.
Repeat this process for each type you want to create.
