Create QR code Contests for your attendees to participate in.
- Under Schedule, click Contests.
- Under Contests, click Create at the top.
- Specify the following parameters:
a. Name - Enter the name of the contest.
b. Type - Select the type of contest.
-Open: Anyone can participate in the contest at any time.
->Register - Participants must pre-register for the contest before the start of the contest.
-Registration (register contest type ONLY): Select the date and time, you want Pre-registration to open for the contest.
c. Eligibility Type: Select the parameters of the contest. Scan any QR code for a chance to win.
-All: Scan for a chance to win (e.g. raffle).
-Qualify An extra set of criteria for determining a winner.
-1.Follow these steps if Eligibility --> Qualify is selected.
-2.Complete: Participants must scan all of the QR codes associated with this contest for a chance to win.
-3.Threshold: Participants must scan a set number of QR codes associated with this contest for a chance to win. Enter the minimum number of QR codes that must be scanned for a chance to win.
-4.Most: Participants who scan the most QR codes win.
-5.Sequence: Select the order that QR codes must scan.
->Any: The order of scanning does not matter.
->Strict. The first QR code in the contest must be scanned first, the 2nd must be scanned 2nd, the 3rd must be scanned 3rd, etc. QR codes created can reordered.
d. Starts: Leave blank if you want the contest to go live immediately. Click the checkbox and enter the data and time if you want the contest to go live on a specific date and time.
e. Ends: Leave blank if you do not want the contest to end at a predetermined time, (e.g. you plan to end it manually). Click the checkbox and enter the data and time if you want the contest to end on a specific date and time.
f. Awards: Leave blank if you do not want to automate when the award winners will be determined, (e.g. you plan to distribute the awards manually). Click the checkbox, enter the date, and time if you want the awards to be automatically determined/awarded on a specific date and time. IMPORTANT Prizes will automatically awarded based on their order in the list. The prize list can be dragged and drop to reorder.
g. Description: Add a description of the contest for participants to see.
h. Image: Upload an image for the event.
-1. Click the Select Image icon along with the Image field.
-2. Browse and select a photo from your computer.
-3. Click Open to upload the selected photo.
- Click Save.
Some New options will appear at the bottom of the contest page.
QR Codes
Design and print the QR codes for your contest.
- Click the QR code bar.
- Under the QR Codes page, click Create.
- Specify the following parameters.
a. Name: Enter the name of the QR Code (internal use only). When you print each code, make sure to write down which specific code it is. Make sure it matches a) the Printed QR code (label each one) and b) the notification message participants will receive so participants can track which QR Codes they have scanned.
b. Weight: Increase or decrease the weight of each QR code to make scanning some QR codes more valuable than scanning others.
c. Multiple Scans: Select NO if each QR Code in the contest can only scan one time for the contest. Select YES, if each QR Code in the contest can scan more than one time.
-Cool down period: Leave blank if you do not want a cool down period. On the other hand, click the checkbox and enter the amount of time in minutes that a participant must wait before they can scan the same QR Code again if you do want a cool down period.
d. Contest Limit: Leave blank if you do not want a limit on the total number of times a QR code in the contest can scan. Select the checkbox and enter a number for the total number of times a QR code in the contest can scan if you do want a limit.
e. Notification: Leave blank if you do not want participants to receive notifications when they scan a QR code in the contest. Click the checkbox and enter the message you want participants to receive via a notification if you do want them notified (e.g. you successfully scanned #1 - Library, You successfully scanned #2 - Registration, etc.).
- Click Save.
Repeat this process for each QR code that you want to create for the contest (there is no limit).
QR codes can be reordered for strict sequence contests.
QR Code Printing
- To print a single QR code, select the blue box on the right side of each code.
- Click the Codes tab at the top of the page to print off all of the QR codes onto sheets (multiple per sheet).
Prizes
Identify the prizes that participants will receive.
- Click the Prizes bar.
- Under the Prizes page, click Create in the upper right corner of the page.
- Specify the following parameters:
a. Name: Enter the name of the prize.
b. Description: Describe the prize.
c. Quantity: Enter the number of this prize type.
d. Image: Upload an image of the prize.
-1.Click the blue button on the right side of the no-image uploaded bar.
-2.Select a photo from your computer.
-3.Click open to upload the photo.
- Click Save.
- Repeat this process for each prize that you want to create for the contest. Prizes can be reordered for automated winners.
Winners
Winners can be determined automatically or manually.
- Automatically: If you want to automate awards, then select the Award process described under Contest setup and enter a date and time. Prizes are automatically award based on their order in the Prize list described above. The prize list can be dragged and drop to be reorder.
- Manually: If you want to distribute prizes manually to the winners then follow these steps.
- Click the Winners bar.
- Drill down on a winner.
- Type the name of the person you would like to award to the winner and select.
- Select the prize.
- Click Save.
- Repeat for each winner.
